Share with you about the trip I been recently – HANOI! Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is known for its centuries-old architecture and a rich culture with Southeast Asian, Chinese and French influences. At its heart is the chaotic Old Quarter, where the narrow streets are roughly arranged by trade. There are many little temples, including Bach Ma, honouring a legendary horse, plus Đồng Xuân Market, selling household goods and street food (from Wikipedia). It definitely is another city that worth for visiting their ancient building, they have not much of new building. But as a food lover, I will just share the food experience that I had go through in my few days trip.
Below are the nice combination of food that I experience few days in Hanoi. You can follow the route I go through as
Chicken Pho > Fried Finger Food > Rice Flour Roll > Beef Pho > Egg Coffee > Beer Time
Nhà Hàng Chả Cá Lã Vọng – Grilled Fish
They claimed they are the first grilled fish in Hanoi, another branch in Ho Chi Minh. It open since 1871, and they only selling one dishes that is GRILLED FISH. It’s a fish slice that cooked with a lot oil and turmeric. You can give a try, but it a bit pricey compare with other food in Vietnam. As I know, maybe oil is the premium food for Vietnamese, that’s why~
Pho Ga- Chicken Soup Pho
First stop of my Hanoi food trip night, clear soup with chicken and rice noodle. It’s really tasty although it looks plain, the sweetness of the chicken broth with add on some lime juice, really will give a good start for the food trip. Can’t describe more, adding chili with this it really happen to Malaysian like me..

Slightly heavier broth taste then the chicken Pho, but it still clear soup with smooth slip rice flour and soft beef slice that cooked at medium well done. And yes, I still eating this with lime juice and chili.

Banh Mii – The French Toast with your choice of ingredient.
I really like their toast, it crunchy on outer part and soft inside the bun. With the combination of Chicken meat ball and another one with juicy beef slice, love it so much. They’re using pork liver as their sauce, it still a good try. Just beware if you’re really not a spare part lover. But please… give a try, really not bad~
